Green Hanson envisions a community where its residents can take advantage of sidewalks, bike paths, town meeting places, farmers markets, and a walk-able downtown.

We see energy efficient buildings and homes utilizing renewable energy throughout the town.

Residents have incorporated environmentally sustainable practices into their daily lives and feel invested in Hanson's many community and natural resources.

Our Vision...
Hanson Community Garden
The Hanson Community Organic Garden is ramping up for this year's gardening season - are you interested in getting a plot? It will be a little different this year because an Eagle Scout candidate has chosen the Hanson Community Garden as his project. He'll be fixing up and revamping the garden and converting it to 'Square Foot Raised Gardening' beds.

If you are interested in a plot please contact:
Evey Golden

The community garden project was started to promote the following goals:
To provide a location where people can grow fresh produce
To promote ecological awareness and community cooperation
To be an organic garden with simple natural materials

Members of the garden are asked to read and sign a set of garden rules, These rules include a waiver that holds harmless the members of the Community Garden, Town of Hanson, and Green Hanson .To sign up for plots members must fill out a request form before the gardening season starts and send it to the Selectmen Office, 542 Liberty St., Hanson, Ma 02341. Members from the previous year will have the first right of refusal. Parking for several cars is available on site.
